I'm Sydni and I started Heart to Ground after one trip that changed everything.
When floods hit Texas, I couldn’t just watch from afar. I packed my car with donations and drove from Lincoln, Nebraska, not knowing exactly what I’d find—just knowing I had to help. On the ground, I joined muck outs, helped families clean out homes, and saw firsthand the weight of loss, resilience, and hope. It was raw, exhausting, and one of the most meaningful things I’ve ever done.
That experience lit something in me. I realized this work—being present, being hands-on, bringing compassion and supplies where it’s needed most—wasn’t a one-time act. It was a calling. Heart to Ground was born from that moment: a personal mission to keep showing up, and to invite others to do the same.
Thank you for believing in this work. Whether you donate, volunteer, share, or simply follow the journey—you’re part of it. Heart to Ground is just getting started, and I’m so grateful you’re here
